Hello! Hola!
I’m Angela, a senior design student at The University of Texas at Austin. I’m originally from Jalisco, Mexico, and my family moved to the U.S. about a decade ago, an experience that continues to shape how I see the world and approach my work. I’ve always loved making things, whether that’s painting, drawing, crafting, or building miniatures by hand. That hands-on curiosity naturally led me to design. At UT, I’ve gained experience across multiple areas, from layout design and branding to industrial rendering and user-centered web experiences, while strengthening my skills in Adobe Creative Suite, typography, color theory, accessibility, and production for both print and digital media.
Mexican culture is a constant thread throughout my design practice, influencing the way I think about storytelling, vibrancy, and community. I’m especially drawn to building thoughtful, impactful brand systems and marketing campaigns that live seamlessly across print and digital spaces, often with a focus on social causes. Professionally, I’ve worked on consumer-facing assets and helped streamline distribution processes, while also leading hands-on workshops for youth and guiding public tours, experiences that strengthened my communication and collaboration skills. I thrive in creative team environments where ideas are community-driven and purpose-led, and I’m excited to continue growing in professional spaces that challenge me, inspire me, and allow me to create meaningful work.
